Location Settings

Working in Other Regions

From the Manager screen choose “Users” and then choose “Settings.”   Choose your employee and click “Edit User.”   Under user access levels, go to “Accessible Regions.” Check the boxes next to the regions that you would like that employee to have access to. Then click Save.

Blocking Employees from Seeing Salaries

From the Manager screen, choose “Locations” and then “Settings.” Choose the location you want to edit and click “Edit Location.” Under the “location preferences” tab, check the box indicating “Block employees from reviewing their salaries.” Click “Save.” Note: This will prevent employees from changing the dates when viewing their personal user report.

Reset Account

Warning: By doing this you will Delete All Information in your Account and Start from Scratch From the Manager screen, choose “Accounting” and then “Reset Account.” Please check the box indicating you understand this process cannot be undone. You will now be prompted to enter company username and company password (you had received this information from nova in the welcome letter) then press “Delete My Data.” Note: Only full owners can delete Data on Nova.

Opening/Editing Regions

From the Manager screen, choose “Locations” and then “Regions.”   Click the space that says “Click here to add a new row” and type a new region name (or else edit an existing region). Click “Save.”   Once the region has been created, go to “Locations” and then “Settings.”   Select the location you wish to place inside of the new region by clicking “Edit Location.”   Under the Location information tab, select the new region name from the drop-down list and click “Save.” Note: Remember that after creating a new region, you must give yourself access to that region Read more

Opened a New Region But Can’t See Employees

From the Manager screen, choose “Users” and then “Settings.” Locate the employee you want to edit and press “Edit User” (make sure “Active User” is checked). Scroll down to “Accessible Regions”, check the box of the new region you opened (this will grant your employee access to the new region) and press “Save.”

Setting Up Text Message / Email / App Alerts

From the Manager screen choose “Locations” and then choose “Settings.” Click “Edit Location” for the location that you wish to edit. Under the “Extra Features” tab, choose “Nova Alerts.” Select a user from the list or add a user. Check the box for the method you would like to receive your alert. Click the pencil icon to edit the user’s contact info. i.e. user’s email, phone number and mobile carrier. Editing Receipt Information

From the Management screen choose Locations > Settings. Choose the desired location and click on “Edit Location.”   Under Location Information, fill out the information.   Click “Save” when you are done. Note: You will be able to see a real-time, sample version of how the location details will appear on the receipts.

Setting Up a Refund Policy

From the Manager screen choose Locations > Settings. Choose the desired location and click on “Edit Location.” . Under “Receipt Options” in the “Refund Policy” field, type in your policy. This will print at the bottom of your receipts. Click “Save” when you are done.

Adding a Logo on Receipts

This option is only available with the Star Micronics TSP100 series printers. The logo file must be in a jpeg format. From the start menu go to the “Star Micronics Configuration Utility” program. Go to logos & cropping. Add your image. Apply changes.

Changing the Tax Name (GST, VAT, etc)

From the Manager screen choose “Locations” and then choose “Settings.” Choose the desired location and click on “Edit Location.” Go to Location Information tab. Under “Tax Rate”, fill in the desired tax term in the “Have the Tax display as” box. Then click “Save.”
